Cleaning Your Zilco Harness

Zilco synthetic harness products require minimal maintenance. Like all harness products however, they must be cleaned, especially on the surfaces which contact the horse (to prevent rubbing by built up dirt). Wet products should be hung up to air dry, out of direct sunlight so air can circulate around it. For the benefit of your horse and harness, after use, gently hose or sponge down the products, mild soap may be used.

Do not use any petroleum based products, liniments or solvent in contact with our materials. This would include such things as baby oil, oil-based fly repellent, oil based wound dressing, rubbing alcohol, liniment braces etc. Some customers have successfully used products intended for vinyl material. You would need to follow the manufacturer’s suggestions and be responsible for the effect of any cleaning product used.
